Jennie Finch was born on September 3, 1980 and raised in La Mirada, Calif. Jennie Finch attended La Mirada High School. Jennie Finch played for her high school softball team at several positions including pitcher, first base and shortstop. Jennie Finch was honored with many awards and as a result, was named the number one high school recruit by Jump Magazine in 1998.

While attending University of Arizona, Jennie Finch earned various additional awards. While playing for the Wildcats, Jennie Finch had a record of 109-16, hit 50 home runs, and had a .301 batting average. Jennie Finch set the NCAA record with 60 consecutive pitching wins over three seasons.

Jennie Finch was selected for the U.S. Olympic Softball Team in January 2004 and currently resides in La Mirada, California.
